Harmony Day in the Kilcoy Park

Carmel, Elise, Joanne, Sue, Shirley, Joan, Ruth, Margaret, Alexis

Busiest Little Choir in the Brisbane Valley

It has not been solely on a Tuesday night at 7pm when St Agnes's Hall in the main street of Esk can be seen to be alive with the sounds of music, for there has been more than a little bit of “doh, ray, mee-ing” happening around the hills of Coal Creek of late.
The Esk Community Choir, in preparation for their upcoming performances at the Queensland Eisteddfod in Ipswich, have been honing their musical skills at a number of Workshops at the home of their Musical Director, Alexis FitzGerald and between discovering their tessitura ( you all have one you know!) , trading antidotes, chit-chat, consuming several litres of iced water, cups of tea, giant servings of pumpkin cake and home made biscuits, they all managed to come together to create a memorable and motivational musical experience in the development of the art of Choral singing.
The energy of this Choir Director and her Choir is unstoppable. Along with these Competition items for the Queensland Eisteddfod in April, performances at Concerts and special occasions throughout the year, the Choir, in September, will be boarding a bus for an 11 day sightseeing/ morale boosting Esk Community Choir “Our Gift to the Flood Victims" Concert Tour hoping to captivate and unify Communities in many of the disaster affected towns in Central and Outback Queensland. The Royal Flying Doctors will also be the beneficiaries of a chunk of the proceeds.
This is an unauditioned four-part (SATB)Choral singing group and if you too are able to hold a tune and would love to be a part of this amazing Choir, you would be welcomed through the doors of the Hall at St Agnes's on any Tuesday evening, commencing at 7pm, to just sit and listen, perchance to decide to become a member, participate in some wonderful musical experiences, learn the joys of group singing and partake of the fellowship this Choir brings to its members.
